Beautiful Bird
Pretty much my favorite singer-songwriter ever is Cindy Morgan. I have loved her music since her very first record (Real Life, 1992). Her songs have always had a way of leading me to think, pray, cry, reach out, pause, act, dance, write...and most of all, worship.
So, I have been waiting for this week, because I knew the new Cindy record was releasing. And release it did. It's not in stores just yet...but you can download it at her website.
And rumor has it that her biggest fan is singing background on a couple of the tracks.
Please go download it. You will be blessed.
My favorite Cindy songs of all-time? There are too many to mention. But a few that come to mind are I Will Be Free, Last Days, God Is Love, The Master's Hand, Love's Sweet Name, Praise The King.
Enjoy the new CD. It's awesome.

Well that is very exciting news indeed! I'm a gib fan of hers too!! And I LOVELOVELOVE your new site! How fabulous is that! The little video message was very cool! And congrats on the agency signing and all that big time music biz stuff! It is wonderful to watch talented, deserving people do so well after all their hard work. Congrats again! Christine
Well, I may just have to pick up her cd, because my other favorite praise singer hasn't released a new cd in quite awhile (ahem), though I know he's been working very hard on it. Thanks for the heads up.

I played that CD to death and even told a friend of mine that I wanted "I Will Be Free" to be played at my funeral.
Morbid, huh? :)
Thanks for the heads up on this..."I Will Be Free" was pretty much an anthem for me during the 90's. Can't wait to hear her new stuff!
"The Loving Kind." One of the most creative, multi-perspective, multi-styled, uniquely juxtaposed passion week records ever. Cindy is a great artist. I'm looking forward to this one!
She is a gem, indeed!
You were heard singing in Estes Park and around Rocky Mountain National Park today...only not in person :) I think I saw a few elk tapping their feet, though, as our windows were down.
"Our Heart" and "My Passion" were perfect for the sights we saw--can you guess the CD we were listening to?
Enjoy your time with your family!!
Praying for you, each one.

My favorite thing about your new site is the swinging video. Before you said anything about that I was thinking "He is swinging, and I may throw up!" Totally kidding. I love your new site. Looks great!
Oh, and how about that queen of christmas! She's a pretty cool gal.
Hope your weekend was great!

Oh, I love a new CD. Thanks for the heads up!
I was in the most lovely town of Franklin all weekend. Completely want to move there. Found a fabulous store downtown called Philanthropy. Christian music playing. Beth Moore books for sale.
Send your darling wife in there if she doesn't know about it already!
Prayed for the Chapman family so many times while I drove those roads.
Hope you had a blast this past weekend.
Blessings~

OK...I'm probably going to get some flack, but I have never heard of Cindy Morgan. I know, I know. I'll have to check out her new CD.
Thanks for the info:)
Blessings.....
Greetings and salutations!
I had to write to say I'm now a fan as well. Thanks for the good word. I listened to her music all afternoon yesterday.
On a separate note, I want to just tell you how much I appreciate your album, Found. Actually, I'm listening to Forevermore right now. That song...
I've had the pleasure of singing from your music over the years and even backing you up a few years back at a J&J Music Conference. Jon Tyner directed our choir.
Anyway, thank you for serving the Lord with your whole heart and voice. He speaks to me through it.

Hi, Travis. Okay. So. What's the deal... Measureless (the song). Just got word that it is not on CD form. Gimmee, gimmee - I need, I neeeeeeeeeed. :) Purrrrrrdee please, with whip cream and cherry on top? Record this sometime?
OK - THANKS!
I Will Be Free gets me every.single.time. I can remember working at a Christian bookstore called Believer's Connection in Joplin, MO my freshman year of college and they played that song a gazillion times and I never once got sick of hearing it! I'll have to buy the new CD because her music is too good to go without! Thanks for letting us know about it.
Blessings, Amy in OK
Beautiful Bird on you tube was sent to me from a friend because she knew I loved sitting on my back deck in the word and listening to the wonderful music they can make however when I heard the song it reminded me of my niece who broke her back the same day I received the video. The song provides inspiration to my niece now to keep taking steps and trust God will lift above her pain and help her soar as the beautiful creature he created her to be.
Hi Travis,
I think that Cindy is one of the best too. Her writing and singing shows her passion. You should cover one her songs. I bet you would sound great singing Love Can. I think that is one of her songs that has not had enough attention. I hope you put out a new cd soon. Your latest is excellent.
YES! Obviously I have been a bad blogger for the last month, b/c I just read this post and am FREAKING OUT! I can't wait to get this!
My favorites of hers are "Thank You, Lord (How Could I Ask For More?)" "Praise the King" "I Will Be Free" and "Alive and Well." She is amazing!
Thanks for posting about this so we can get her new songs!
