Ornament Of The Day #5
Angela and I went to Israel for the first time back in 1996. Lots of amazing things happened while on that trip...wonderful life-long relationships made, huge prayers answered, special memories made.
When we were in Bethlehem (it feels so weird saying that), we bought a bag of hundreds of these little Christmas tree ornaments made out of olive wood (sorry for the blurry photos). They are all over our tree, and remind us of that trip that the Lord used in so many ways in our lives.
Crazy. The Savior of the world. Born in BETHLEHEM.
Sigh.
Take it in. Unto YOU was born that day. A SAVIOR.
I sure did/do need a Savior. How about you?
Have you thanked Him today?

Great ornaments. Great post. THANK you.
Yes indeed so in need of a Savior...who daily takes up my burdens. Especially today it has been a tough one! Praise Him
Yep, desperately in need of a Savior each and every day.
I went to Israel in 2006 and so want to go back. The thing that I brought back is an olive wood nativity set that I bought in Bethlehem. It is so beautiful and takes me back to that awesome trip each time I look at it.

I just found your blog and I feel beyond blessed to have found it!
My sister and parents have been to Israel and they brought us back ornaments and nativities. I love them, the olive wood is beautiful.
Yes and Amen. I have thanked HIM. Thanks for the post and the pics.
By the way you were delightful in the short interview with Priscilla for the last Deeper Still.
Have a Wonderful Christmas and a blessed time bringing worship to the masses.
We were in Bethlehem in 2005 - what an amazing spiritual journey. We also bought a bunch of those olive wood manger scenes....love that!
Thank You Jesus for becoming flesh and dwelling among us!!
