Thanks for praying!

Thanks, everybody for praying for the last two days while I was in the studio. I could feel the prayers going up, and my weary brain being lifted! : >)

Everything went well. There is still much to do...we record all of the vocals, orchestra, and other instruments in two weeks, and there is a lot of prep time for those things. But the hardest stuff for me was knocked out these past two days.

So, in celebration of the work load being lifted, I planne to sleep late today. jack is off to camp, Lily Kate spent the night with a friend, and Levi sleeps late anyway. So, yesssss. Sleeping late.

OK, so it's 6:45a.m.and here I am blogging. Dang! Why can't parents ever sleep late? I don't get it. If it were a school day, I would have over slept 1o minutes and put the whole morning in a frenzy. But today...when I don't have to be anywhere until 10...I am wide awake at 6:30. nevermind that I only got 2 hours of sleep on Tuesday night.

Alright. I'm really not bitter about the no sleep thing. I am going to be thankful for what the Lord delivered me through this week. So happy I am. Wait a minute...I just said that like Yoda.

I am off to Ft. Lauderdale for a Women of Faith pre-conference event with Beth today and tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers for us.

ooh Travis, only 2hrs sleep Tues.?! Sleep is soooo important (trust me, I know all about sleep deprivation-with having had a 10 mo.old special needs child when I delivered triplet girls)I now have another boy! God has shown me his sense of humor more times! I don't even want to think what kind of shape I'd be in if I didn't have one! Anyway I will deffinitly pray you get some GOOD sleep and that this pre-conference you & Beth are doing will go great. Also, I need to tell you how much you, your music, and your blog mean to me. Thank you so much!
With love, Joanne from NH

Am I that uncool?? :(

What in the world is Yoda???

I am unveiling my uneducated, youngin', barely tv watchin' self before all of you...please try to contain your head shaking and laughter of my clinical case of ignorance to a minimal?? :)

Hey Travis, I am so thrilled for your new venture into more women at WOF than you know what to do with this weekend. (Oh wait, you have more than that all the time with our friend Beth). Hope you enjoy all the extra stops you'll make this year. God is so faithful to keep a light burning. This blog is new to me, so I'll get back often. Keep safe, hope to see you sometime soon. Take care, Lisa P. from Houston, TX

Hi Travis! It's Sarah, Marcy's friend, Judd's wife. Actually, I didn't even really know Marcy that well when I invited her to stay with me, but she is such a blessing!

Anyway, I'm so glad I found your blog, I've been reading Amanda's posts at LPM Blog, too.

You will not know until you get to Heaven the extent of God's blessing through your ministry here. God spoke to us in such a powerful way! If you feel like reading it, I posted a little of what God did in me during the worship HERE and HERE. I have a whole section about the conference because it is going to take some time to process and internalize it all, and I have some friends who didn't get to go, so I told them I would write about it.

I am SO excited that you are going to be at the Women of Faith pre-conference events!? YES!!! I have seen you and Beth two times in Michigan and am taking my mother and my sister-in-law who have NEVER been to any event like this! We will be in Cleveland in a couple of weeks. They are in for the biggest treat of their lives!!! You are so gifted and talented and I cannot wait to see you again!

Travis,

I am so excited!! I just downloaded "Only the World" to my iPOD and it is AWESOME!!! I have loved Mandisa since I saw her at a LPL event several years ago. I can't wait until the CD comes out. My girls loved the song too. I appreciate you and Mandisa for producing songs my children and I can sing and have fun with together. THANKS

Travis- thank you so much for leading worship yesterday at Brentwood Baptist. It was so powerful and moving! I bought the Alive Forever cd on itunes last night, which is huge for someone like me who doesn't typically listen to praise & worship music. Keep on doing what you are doing- the Lord has annointed you and your group.

WOW - just found your blog. Thanks for sharing. Your ministry is awesome and an inspiration to many! I'm the director of music & worship at my (blended worship) church and a big fan of your work (we did the "Alive Forever Amen" musical this past Easter season!) Looking forward to getting to listen to your new Christmas worship musical and can't help but ask about the new worship musical you're working on in connection with the Max Lucado book! Would love some more info on it, if you're able to share at this point. PS - from one 80's music fan to another, you've got to watch the movie "13 going on 30" - it's packed with songs that will take you back!

Hi Travis,
I hope that you and your family are enjoying the summer together.
I felt compelled to share with you how your music plays such a huge role in my life. I was so ashamed of something I did against God, yet was broken and needed to ask for His forgiveness. No words would come out of my mouth, all I could hear was your song "Rescue Me". I sang it over and over hoping that the words would suffice. As I drove to work still feeling so ashamed, I listened to you sing this song, drawing me closer to my Jesus. I know that only God can take away this pain, but I am so every thankful for your voice and your words!
Longing for HIM,
Melissa (Charlotte)

I have tried to be patient. the Boone Conference song list has not been posted on the journal of Travis' page. I would love to know what song Travis and the team sang before Amazing Grace
on Friday night.(at the Beeth Moore Boone Conferene) The words were not on the screen but many seemed to know the song. Maybe an old Sunday school song or hymn?? Does any one know? Can you send me the title and/or the words or where I can find the words. I would love to teach it to my
children.
