Denver bound! Texas bound!

Hey, everybody! I hope you are doing well. I guess I was a little more fried after Deeper Still than I expected. I have had trouble forming coherent thoughts, much less writing them on this blog.

I am trying to imagine how in the world Beth Moore left Nashville on Sunday after Deeper Still, only to turn right around and begin teaching and filming her new study on Tuesday. What? What? The Lord does remarkable things through her. Amazing!

Last week, all 5 of use got sick with a cold and virus. Ugh. I took the boys to the doctor last week (before Angela, Lily and I got it), and he said they just had a virus, and it might take them 7 to 10 days to shake it. Fun times. Then, I got it the next day, and had to sing this past weekend on top of a sick throat. I was so glad to have Seth, Julie and Lici there with me to lean on (we had an AMZING time with the folks at First Baptist Church Mareitta, SC, by the way).

By Monday, I could not even croak out a single word. So yesterday, I went to the doctor, who loaded me up on some good stuff to help me be ready for this big weekend. I am feeling better already. A little loopy, but better. I hope to be singing by the Women Of Faith conference, which begins Friday morning.

So Beth and I will be at the Women Of Faith in Denver on Friday. Can't wait! I am asking the Lord to let me be totally healthy at this event. I had strep throat two Women Of Faiths ago (in DC), and was still recovering from it at the last one (in Atlanta). I will serve Him however He wants me to. And if he wants be to be sick as a dog and operating on about 20% of my voice, I WILL DO IT! But, I just don't want to be whining again this weekend to the poor WOF team, who have endured me hobbling in sickness for the past two events. Please pray for me...thanks!

Sick or well - we are going to have a great time in the Word. Can't wait.

Then after Denver, I meet my singers in Corpus Christi, TX for a Sunday with Yorktown Baptist Church. We are looking forward to worshipping with them! their choir is going to join us for some stuff. We love that. If you are in the area, I hope you will join us. Check the calendar on my website for details.

It will be two Texas weekends in a row for me - I am at Houston's First Baptist Church next weekend, the 30th. I love going to Texas.

Gotta go now. Levi just requested some boyish time.

Sounds like our house this week! Everyone is sick and to top it off, I've been asked to "fill" in at the piano on Sunday morning. Not exactly the best week for last minute rehearsals! Just reminds me that I can't play a note without Him, I've done that and don't want anypart of that ever again!

Praying for healing and an outpouring of the Holy Spirit this weekend!

Anticipating Him

Travis,

You sung your heart out on Sunday night! I knew that you wouldn't be able to utter a word on Monday much less sing. I am praying for you a speedy recovery so you can share your music at the WOF conference. I don't know if you had already to planned to sing it before I asked, but thanks again for singing 'Moses' Sunday night. Rebekah & Abigail absolutely loved it! They sung their little hearts out too, especially Abigail. I may have a Praise & Worship Leader in the works. We will keep you in our prayers. It looks like you will be doing a lot of traveling over the next few weeks.

Wow, you have been hit so many times with sickness. I pray that God will bless all of you with excellent health and give you strength as you minister through worship through this month. I am excited that you are going to be in Houston on the 30th. I may have to visit my brother then and come and see you all.
Blessings,
Patty

Aren't all who are saved bound for Texas? Oh, that's bound for Glory. I get the two mixed up sometimes.

Oh! I wish I lived closer to Corpus Christi or Houston. How about a visit to East Texas? Besides, I don't think my AWANA commander would appreciate me ditching the kids for a trip to Houston. And God probably wouldn't be too thrilled either. So, guess I'll stay here that Sunday. Hope y'all feel better soon! There's lots of stuff going around. Guess it's the preparation for flu season? Anyway, take care of that throat and don't overdo it!

Well, shoot. If you're gonna be at HFBC next Sunday, I guess I'll just have to make a little trip down south from school! :)

Can't wait. And, have a blast in Denver. Colorado is my 2nd home!

You rocked in Denver... I would've never known that you were sick, but then your voice brings me to tears anyway (in a great way) and probably would have never noticed.

God bless and the women in Denver thank you.

So I went to the Women of Faith conference in Denver. with only like 14,00 women or something, but it was strange for me since I could guess pretty well I was the youngest. I am 16...(minus all the tiny little babies, though. I swear I saw fifty...) Anyways....I came prepared for this conference...bible, pen, and ( yes, i am a true teenager...) my iPod. See, i was worried there would be 'fuddy duddy' music. I stand ashamed to say this....I know. But seriously....I suppose I have odd tastes in music, anything witih nice, heavy guitar rips and maybe some cannons or something. But then I, first, was blown away by Beth Moore. It was scary how amazing she got into my life and what an amazing person she is. And then, Travis, you started to sing and I was like, well my whole idea of boring music blew up all over the place. ( i think it got on the lady three rows down, too.) Anyways, I love your music. I bought both CDs and I put them onto my iPod. I pray for your family and that you will come back to Denver...( I'd drive anywhere else to see you but.....me+highways= DANGER) So, thank you for coming to Denver!! It was A-mazing!!!
