Heading Across The Pond

Well, aren't you guys just so clever. Your funny 80's references in the comments were AWESOME. You FUNNY PEOPLE.

Thanks for your prayers for Lily Kate. She woke up just fine this morning. Although, she did try to milk it for all it was worth to get out of having to go to school. But go to school she did.

Tonight, I am praying that another one of our children doesn't do the same thing. We left a gift basket from some of the sweet ladies we met in Vermont sitting in our bedroom floor today. When we got home tonight, our child FLASH had eaten half of a cheese log. Anybody order a cheese dog???

He's fine so far.

I am heading to The Netherlands tomorrow. I'm so excited to see my Dutch friends. I have a couple of concerts there this weekend, along with a choir from there. We are going to have a GREAT time. I will post some pics next week.

I come home on Tuesday. ELECTION DAY. I have already voted. But it's just as well for me to be gone these next few days, to help prevent me from continuing in this election-obsessed trend I have been in for the past few weeks. I'm telling you, I have been in it deep. I'm embarrassed to say that I have even been DVRing some of my favorite news shows. What in the heck? Man, I can't wait for this election to be over.

I will check in with you when I arrive. Have a great Wednesday.

I've already voted, too. I was obsessed, but have now chosen to keep it off the television until Election day. I just can't take it anymore.

Have a safe trip - sounds fun!

Have a safe trip!

You know, I was going to leave a comment the other day, but it was way to early and there was no way I could keep up with all the 80s cleverness!

I couldn't think of anything 80ish to say either but I racked my brain trying to come up with something. Anyway, HSM3 was awesome! Everyone in the theatre applauded when it was over. My friend and I even actually got a little teary at the end. Luckily the girls were out of school on Monday so we didn't have to fight the weekend crowd. I'm glad you enjoyed your weekend in WNC. Isn't it just beautiful! When I mentioned to Bekah and Abbi that you were in town over the weekend I got in some hot water for not getting tickets. But when I explained it was for people who are married I think they forgave me. We are looking forward to seeing you either in Hickory or Kingsport in December. Not sure which one yet. Maybe this time you'll get to meet my hubby.

Have a Blessed and safe trip across the pond.

I just got Ring the Bells this past weekend. I absolutely love it. May I say, last Christmas I longed for a Christmas album by Travis Cottrell. I was so excited to see you would deliver next season....it was worth the wait! You have a way of leading your listeners into worship--even with Christmas music. Some are songs I have heard over and over every December of my life, but I feel compelled to praise and worship my Jesus as I hear them this time. Something I think I just never thought about....but what better reason than the birth of our Savior!! Praise God for you and that beautiful voice! Thank you for all your hard work!

Hope you have a great trip overseas!
Stephanie from MO

P.S. Glad to hear Lily Kate is feeling better--you never know when one child throws up if it will cause a chain reaction.... And, why do they ALWAYS do it when you're about ready for bed and all over their bed?! :-)

Ron Burgundy: What? You pooped in the refrigerator? And you ate the whole... wheel of cheese? How'd you do that? Heck, I'm not even mad; that's amazing.

would it happen to be that choir that tours around the world that's like college-ish age people? cause there was a choir at kairos a few months ago and i think they were from the netherlands. and they were awesome.

I too am glad the election is over and I can quit my own election obsession and DVRing! Fortunately for me, I left the day after to a field-trip with 80+ fifth graders to Washington, DC. No t.v., internet, or radio talking heads - just what the Dr. ordered for my post-election stress relief. :)
