Sugared Up

A fun time was had by all.

And we are all awaking from our sugar coma this morning.

AND I successfully confiscated all of my favorites stuff out of their bags while they were sleeping.

We all do that, right?

: >)

Blue pumpkins. Who knew.

Hey Travis,

Of course we all sneak some favorite candy from the kids treat bags (parents have to have some fun too)...but I got caught! It wasn't pretty. I had to promise I would replace it ASAP. Your kids are adorable! My girls were Hannah Montana and her best friend Lola. I'm sure you know who they are. They were absolutely gorgeous! It was very exciting. Especially since we are in the final countdown to going to see Hannah Montana in concert at the end of November. I think we are down to 23 days! My girls think I am just so cool right now! Wonder how long that will last?

Yes, we all do that. I just polished off a 'borrowed' snicker bar :)

Your kids are adorable.

Blue pumpkins .... clever!

Yes, yes! I didn't even wait till mine were in bed to get my favorites. Hope you all were warm - it was chilly and breezy in KS. My 3 year old had a blast getting "treats" at the houses - it was fun for us to see him finally understand what "trick-or-treating" meant. He can't wait till the next time!

Heck no - I don't steal my children's candy while they are sleeping! I'm going to do it today while they are at school! :) And the trick is, you can't take anything that they have noticeably mentioned.
I love your kids pumpkins with their names on them. Those aren't real are they?

How incredibly cute! Love, love, love the photos! Your kids are growing up right before our eyes. :)

Snagging my favorite candy? Oh yeah! You better believe it.

Our Noah, 9, was an army man, too! Chris made a bazooka out of cardboard tubes :)

We'll have to post some pictures.

Love the blue pumpkins.

I've been removing our favorites from the pile all morning. They are going to a very safe place, and will be enjoyed by Mommy and Daddy all weekend!

Glad to know I am not the only parent who eats the kids candy when they go to bed. I try to leave the ones they really like, but if there are duplicates, then all is fair game! There is just something about the smell of all that candy together that makes me feel like a kid again!

blue pumpkins....i had no idea! Check this out, they even come in red and green: http://www.pumpkinnook.com/facts/colors.htm
We grew pumpkins a few years, but only the orange ones! We quit because deer love them and were eating them all!! They break them open and eat the inside. TMI??

Anyway, love the pictures!! We had Kirsten, (the American Girl),
a cowgirl, and a pint size horse. My 6 year old immediatley took candy inventory, and now we have to "strongly convince" her to share!

we all do it. my own sugar coma was intense. my little one was hannah montana as well...but we just saw her live on Monday. Out her in Seattle, WA! It was quite something. :) Now if High School Musical hits the road, I'll be in trouble.

Dionna -

They are real pumpkins (I had to ask, too)! Angela said they are called something like "heirloom pumpkins"(?), and she got them at the True Value hardware store.

Who knew you could color-coordinate your harvest festiveness...

Lily Kate is going to let me borrow that outfit....right?! lol

We totally grab up the favorites! With three kids, there is enough to go around times 10!

Well, I call it the Halloween Hangover because it is just ugly the next day with ALL this candy around....and at my house, my boys love only sugary sweet stuff like skittles, sweetarts and I love ALL the chocolate. And what did they have most in their bags??? Yes.
Chocolate. And, it must leave this house or it will be ugly in a few weeks when clothes don't fit.

So, enjoy it a little and then take it to their school for teachers to have!! :)

Have a great weekend. I think I heard you were in Memphis Sunday night. Wish I could come. I'll pray for you, the crew and the entire evening. To God be the glory!! You always bless us tremendously.

Much love,

Oh they are so cute. I thought I left a comment a few days ago but my computer was being weird or maybe I forgot to push send - who knows!! - hehe
I ended up having 2 very handsome little cowboys on Wednesday. I love having them dress the same. I know my days are numbered on that one.
And yes I also get the candy from my boys - I like the twix and Reese's PB cups!
Yummy!

Hi Travis!
Your children are beautiful. They look so much like you when you were younger! I'm so happy for you and all that you have and continue to accomplish in your ministry. We were up in Boone last month and the leaves were beautiful. (Do you make it "home" often?) I pray that God continues to bless you and your family in all that you do!
Oh yes, I have to admit, I snuck some tootsie rolls from my 3 year old twins trick or treat pumpkins! After all that walking, I deserved a treat too!) :-)
Take care,

I am still enjoying the "hidden" delights of my three boys candy!!

You have three darlin' children and there is just somethin' about that number "3"!!

Triple blessings to be thankful for this holiday season!!

Blessings to you all,

P.S. What about Denver and his RED suit?? Guess those judges want somethin' not so "bandish" uh??

Loving Denver and his gang more and more each week. We loved them before, but I have to say they are shining for Jesus like never before. Have to say, the Billy Joel number tonight was AWESOME!!!!!

Question----
Travis,
I just saw Chris Tomlin in concert tonight. He introduced his back up singers and I think he said Seth and Nirva?? Are they the same sweet couple that sing with you?? and that you posted about in August?
