Going To The Chapel

Remember this? Well, the big wedding is this weekend. Our drummer Kevin and our dear life-long friend Ashley are tying the knot. The Cottrells - a flower girl, a bridesmaid, a groomsman, a couple of wedding singers and a couple of little boys looking for trouble - are heading into the festivities today, and we can't wait. It's gonna be a great celebration. The praise team is leading worship at the wedding (can't wait). Pray for Kevin and Ashley, their big day, and their God-ordained union!

Kirk Franklin is cranked throughout the house right now, and I gotta go. I have to iron shirts for a couple of little boys who will be wrinkled and untucked before you can say "Where's the shaving cream for the car?"

Travis,

May your trip go smoothly and may the Cottrells actually enjoy the wedding and reception!! Oh yea. . and pictures please. I especially want to see LK in all her flower girl glory! Praying for the "perfect" wedding for Kevin and Ashley.

In addition to the wonderful, fantastic and blessed news of such a joyous wedding to attend, the thing that tickled me most in your post - the sentence that starts "I have to iron shirts for a couple little boys". No wonder Angela loves you so much - any man who could sing AND iron would be top notch in my book! Ironically, my sweet husband can do neither, but I still love him to death! HAve a great weekend!

Hey Travis, I just want to say how very blessed I feel to have you and Beth and your Praise Team in my life. Your blog is the best, so funny at times and inspiring as well.

I bought Jesus Saves Live this weekend at the Christian bookstore here in Kalamazoo, and I have been listening to it all weekend!

Hope that Kevin & Ashley had a beautiful wedding and all went well, I agree with the others, let's have a few pictures.

God is awesome!

Travis:

You need to know this...

I've just received your live CD and immediately uploaded it to my ipod. Tonight while out for a jog was the first time I could fully take a listen. I never made it past "mercy seat"; I've never heard a song that I think mirrors most closely what heaven must be like. I cycled it through 3 times, all the while watching the gray clouds (that have been following us all day) begin to part as my voice and hands were raised in worship.

You took me to the hem of Christ's robe this evening with this song; you've done that quite often, but tonight it seemed a bit more needful for my heart.

We've got it on the loud speakers at home now, husband and I before God weeping our gratitude for God's extravagant mercy. His grace has been a gracious gift.

Thanks for you continuing obedience to pen your thoughts into music; undoubtedly you will share in the great heavenly choir...

Until then,

peace for the journey~elaine

Travis- Congrats to your friends who just got married. It was great to hear from you today. I look forward in hopefully bringing my family to your state in Jan. or Feb. 2010 so we can catch up and you can meet my kids. We posted a lot more pics to our blog so you can see how we have grown. We were trying to get them up before you posted, but maybe we did not. It has Kelden's birthday, Mexico etc. check it out. silvesterfam.blogspot.com

May the Lord Bless you and your Family. Chris and Shanell Silvester

Thanks for sharing and worship at BBC Wed night..so real...what a blessing. Praise God for all of those mighty women he placed in your life to prepare your heart to lead with Beth in ministering to girls across generations. You'll learn lots more from that little princess in your house too. Ours is almost 16 and she is sandwiched between two brothers as well!
