Time for more random pics from my phone. This time, I promise no shrubs larger than a skull.
Apparently even my dog has a sugar addiction.
Speaking of sugar addictions, I did a Holy Ghost dance when I saw this in my Kroger here in Franklin. This is a North Carolina delicacy that has reached its goodness all the way to Middle Tennessee. You may call it a new distribution deal. I call it the favor of God on TN.
Comfort food. Love language. Call it whatever you want. It's one of my favorite meals on the earth. I tweeted this pic just out of sheer happiness.
I would like to say that I had these out playing with my kids.
(pause.)
Originals. Collected from 1977-1984. Not pictured: my original Millenium Falcon and other vintage pieces. And me sitting on the couch in a Darth Vader costume.

cool storage box! our neighbor gave my son a HUGE shipping box full of his star wars memorabilia that he had collected. I'm talking HUNDREDS of figurines, ships, 12" dolls (which he doesn't play with, thank goodness) you name it, pretty sure we've got it. I would invite you over to play with them if you lived in SC, lol :)
Cheerwine in TN? I'm sure North Carolinians are not aware of such sacrilege.
No picture of you in the Darth Vader outfit??? Chicken....
My teens always bring back cases of Cheerwine when they come back from Palmetto Bible Camp in SC. I don't think I'm telling them it's a lot closer to home now; it would probably ruin some of the fun :-)
What is it with the boys of the 80's and your toys??? My hubby has quite the original collection of transformers, He Man figures & Star Wars!
Please tell this New Yorker-turned Coloradan what in the world is Cheerwine?
Dang....

my son wears his darth vader costume at some point everyday. And when he comes across someone he doesn't know or really like he shoots him with his pretend laser gun or uses the force on them. His favorite thing to do now is sing the imperial march. (which for a three year old is quiet annoying, since he doesn't carry a tune yet)
Oh my word, God does love you for providing the Cheerwine!! Don't be jealous but I can get them in GLASS BOTTLES here. And you know soft drinks are way better from a glass bottle! (Did you grow up calling all soft drinks Cokes? Maybe that didn't reach all the way up to Boone. :))
My hubby's Star Wars stuff (including the Millineum Falcon!) is still at my in-laws'. My kids LOVE it! And I'm just hoping they don't want to send it all home with us....
I know how you feel about the Cheerwine. Us FL folks have to drive all the way to SC for a fix. I'm jealous!
Ahhh. There's nothing quite like walking in a market and stumbling upon a Cheerwine.
It's one of the things this East Tennessee girl(Mountain City - where God really gets His mail!) has enjoyed introducing her Knoxville husband to.
Could you please post a video of a Holy Ghost dance? For clarification purposes. What is Cheerwine, anyway? Apparently God hasn't smiled on Arkansas yet.
ah Star Wars. memories. mostly of me not knowing what the blazes was going on. My parent believed that the whole idea of a "neutral force" was going to degrade the moral understanding of a whole generation of kids and that anyone who grew up with this stuff was clearly going to be morally bankrupt.
I'm going to be so happy to point out to them that YOU got to play with this stuff and you turned out alright!......well, mostly alright.
If your Kroger will take a competitor's coupon (I know Publix will, so check for Cheerwine there if Kroger won't)...this should make you happy, too! (But hurry, it expires on 11/24.)

My childhood bff, Rhonda, and I were the only girls in the late 70's to be obsessed with playing Star Wars instead of Barbie. She had the Millenium Falcon and I was positively green with envy.
I married a Luke and on my wedding day she slipped her original Luke figure into my hand. Destiny? I think YES!
Travis,
I needed to say thank you on this day before Thanksgiving for your Jesus Saves CD. My husband LOVES the CD. What is so cool, is that he gave his life to Christ 2 years ago after we went through the lowest of lows in our marriage. Jesus saved our marriage, he saved my husband and He saved me. Thank you for your ministry in music. Blessings to you and your family this Thanksgiving.
My hubby would just LOVE to have those Star Wars figures. He had them but his mom got rid of them a while back.
