Living Proof Live Tampa

We had a great weekend in Tampa! But before I post the event recap, I have something to tell you.

We had our first looker come to see our house on Saturday. And THEY BOUGHT IT.

Our house is SOLD. (still in shock)

HALLELUJAH! Thank You, Lord! We are so thankful and so humbled by the way God has made our path to Jackson so straight. I was fully buckled down and ready to feel the pains of trying to sell a house in this economy. But for some reason God had a different plan. We are grateful.

I know some of you are feeling those pains of trying to sell your home. I'm so sorry you are. Keep trusting Jesus. He can and will sell your house when the time is right.

If you need us today, just give us a holler. We will be right here, running around the outside of our house non-stop, taking victory laps. Full speed. Over and over. For hours.

On to the recap...

Isn't amazing how God works! Last August the night we sold our home on faith, the search committee to where we are called.

It took months and months for us to sell our house when we moved. But I'm so glad it did. Otherwise we wouldn't have gotten this house, and it feels like we're exactly where God wants us. It's all about His timing!

Run on, my friend. Take those victory laps and praise Jesus with every one. What A MIGHTY movement of God's hand in such a hideous economy. If you had any doubts about His placement of you in your new location....well, let's just say you can put those to rest. Whew!!

congratulations!!

Praise our Awesome Lord! This is such a testimony to the blessings of obedience. Travis I am requesting your families prayers for a young family in our church, they have four children under 7 and they have 25 days to find a place they can afford to live and move. Their names are Heather & Brandon. Thanks

How awesome is God! His timing IS perfect! We are trying to sell our house right now and we're praying that God will work quickly, but we do know it's all in His timing. We're excited for you!

(By the way, our family met you in Houston at the Siesta SMT Celebration. My husband is still so excited to say that he's met you!)

I have just returned from Tampa and have to say how much I enjoyed the music this weekend. This was my first time to see you perform live and your band is just awesome! An amazing weekend! I brought my mom too-she's turning 80 and she loved it right along with me : )

Oh, and I've moved many times so congrats on the sale and things falling into place. I don't think there is anywhere I"ve seen Gods hand more in the timing of my life than in our moves.

Hi Travis,
I was in Tampa for LPL, and I was so grateful to the Lord that you sang my 2 favorites -- "In the First Light" and "Jesus Saves". I told my husband a few months ago that I would drive many, many, many hours to hear "In the First Light" live. I am just wreck by the time He is nailed to a tree in that song. I am still a wreck at "when He comes to rule the earth", but it's all good. :-)

Praise the Lord for the selling of your home and the clarity with which God has led you in the past couple months. I watched on Pastor Ben's blog the "talk" you and Pastor Ben had about your calling before the church voted, and I was so encouraged. My husband is the pastor of a teeny tiny church start that can't seem to get off the ground. We are so discouraged and very confused about where God is leading and if we should just close up shop.We are clueless about what we would do apart from this and are afraid of what will happen financially with our family of 5. Your transparency about following God to do something you had no plans to do is just what we need. The testimony about Angela on there is also so sweet and compels me to seek God and pray more.

Thanks so, so much!

Congratulations. (Why am I not surprised?!)
This is the continuation of a magnificent story that can stand on its own as testimony to the presence of God in our lives. I can’t wait to hear about the unfolding of the rest of His plan for the Cottrells.
Thanks for the great witness in Tampa. It’s always such a treat to worship with you and the team.
What a powerful weekend!

WOW !!!! God sometimes DOES use the obvious things (almost like a frying pan to the head) to say "Yup. I AM IN CHARGE HERE"

this has been such an amazing story to "live" through with you. I know, I know, I'm just reading about it, but it has been great to watch in unfold in real time.

looking forward to seeing you this weekend at FBCWoodstock

Just a note of encouragement for the simulcast this weekend. So looking for to it.

Congrats on your house selling. You know in Nashville, somebody always knows somebody and I was telling them all about the calling and the move, etc. They were friends of yours! HA!

To Him be all the Glory!

Rejoicing with you all. The LORD did the same thing for us (with the flooded housing market) when we moved from NC to TN.

Enjoy those victory laps! God is good!

Travis-
Know you were used of the Lord today in the simulcast event. The scripture you quoted on singing was a reiteration of what the Lord has shown me through my journey. I told the big story on LPM blog, but the nutshell version is I didn't sing a note for 11 yrs after earning my degree. Last summer, God just began encouraging me with countless scriptures and said, "I just want to hear you sing. That's it." In obediance, I have indeed found great joy in singing His praises to Him. Thank you for the good word today. I sang every note! ;-)
