Transformation

We made a video for our friend Daniel, who turned 30 this weekend. We practiced this little diddy once, and then quickly jumped in front a camera to film it and then upload it to Daniel's friend for his party. Levi began to have a melt down during our practice time. He was ill as a hornet that he had to do the video. He began to storm up the stairs to his room. And I can't really remember what happened next, except that something made him come back and join us. But he made it clear that he was not happy about it. Nor was he going to participate.

So, that is where you find this video beginning. Watch the transformation my sweet Levi makes in just a few seconds. We're talking 0 to 100 in the blink of an eye. Notice how he tries to get my attention to let me know that he was IN. And then enjoy his burping on the beat at the end. What birthday song is complete without syncopated burping?

So very hilarious. Although...I turned 30 this year, so....maybe not so funny after all!

That is the funniest thing I have seen in ages. LOVED IT - even though I turned 35 this year!

Saw that there was a video, wasn't going to watch, read the intro, HAD to watch -- how much do i love your Levi? I've got one just like him, who has taken our family to the pit of misery and to the height of joy in his 12 years on this planet.

Thanks for sharing the video, and happy birthday Daniel!

LOL!!!! That is absolutely hilarious!! My best friend has a birthday in a couple of weeks, and she will be an age that ends with a ZERO...since I'm a whopping 5 years younger than her, I'll be sharing this video with her. You know, to bless her!

This is by far the funniest video I've seen since your daughter's singing debut in the back seat of the car!

And, I just love how the love you all share for each other is very evident!!

Hysterical! Love how Levi jumped in there and went for it--what a RIOT! I think the robot dance moves really took the whole performance to a new level. :)

I AM LAUGHING SO HARD!! This is a scream!! I love it. I really think this should be mass produced for those of us who have friends with upcoming birthdays.

I needed a good laugh today.
In Missouri, we say it like this: "The NUT doesn't fall far from the tree!"

Oh my... Totally agree with the others... This has to be one of the cutest things I have ever seen... the kids did great....the video is all the better because of Levi's transformation :)

I LOVE THIS FAMILY!!!!!!

Thanks you guys...and especially Lily Kate, who was the best part 2nd only to Levi with her pointing. She has given me the gift that keeps on giving...'You have gray hairs' (pointing at Travis) HAHAHAHAHA...

That video is just timeless. I love how you don't have to have your family all perfect and behaved to show them off to us - because honestly any of us who have ever been a parent HAVE BEEN THERE. :)
So great. Glad you could laugh about it.

This is GREAT! The song itself is awesome (sound like something I would do to my friends!) but the added element of your son's attitude change was hilarious.

Loved this, I only wished you had done it earlier in the year so i could have sent it to my neice who turned 40 this year. Love you and your family.

SO very funny! You all are so talented! The poochie lip shows its ugly self around here every so often, too! I loved Levi's super turn around though.
Our families are so similar, as far as the kids go..BGB..12,9,7. That can make for some interesting times, for sure!
Have a great week!

Travis Cottrell...

THAT IS SO STINKIN' FUNNY!!!

My observations:

1. I totally GET Levi Cottrell because Lindsey Cook (same initials) is EXACTLY the same -- emotions that turn on a stinkin' dime.

2. Lily Kate look so much like her Momma it is not even funny.

3. Don't you turn 40 soon and are you ready for someone to write a "You are old, you are so old, you are so old...." song for you....because you are, you know... you are so old, yes, you are! tee hee

Oh, sweet mercy...your kids give you the best stage material. Seriously...

Blessings,
Dori

Your video is priceless! My boys (3 & 10 years old) have been singing this off and on all week! We sent the video to my Dad that turned 64 yesterday (yes, on Friday the 13th!).

You are such an inspiration to us...especially to my husband who is our music minister at our church. Our choir is actually singing your musical, Glorious Day, as a Thanksgiving musical next week.

Keep up the great work! (And I can't wait to see you at Beth Moore's Scripture Memory Celebration in January!)
