Checking In

It's 4:47am, and I am about to the hit road to the airport. I'm just stopping in to say hey. Idol was good last night. Sometimes Carrie Underwood's voice is so good I can't even believe it. That duet with Randy Travis was more than my mind could take in. That's slightly melodramatic, probably because it's 4:48am and my filter is not yet awake. But still. She is freakishly great...and a not-so-subtle reminder that our girls on Idol this year (and last) are not even close to being on the same page as her.

I actually picked the bottom three just right this week. I knew Alexis was gonna go, although I really thought they might (and should) save her. I think the show needs her.

I hope my NCAA bracket is as lucky as my idol picks. Any guess as to who my pick to win it all is?

Mmmmmyes. GO HEELS.

I am still working on my Haiti story. I hope to be able to post it soon.

Everybody have a great weekend...

As much as I would like to say our beloved Memphis Tigers will make it to the championship....I don't think they can this year. If they couldn't do it last year, it'd be a miracle this year. But, I'm still pulling for them...all the way baby! :)

Have fun!

Will you still be my friend even if I don't know any NC "calls" or whatever to throw out?? ;)

But, hey I hope they win!!

Randy Travis was more than I could take in...wowzers he's showin' his age and would've done better to just let CAYrie (as my southern older lady friend would say) do her thang...for some reason when they sang together it was just weird. But, nonetheless I still enjoyed it all immensely.

Hope you have a GREAT rest of your week.

Carrie is incredible. I saw her in concert with Keith Urban last year. I was amazed at her awesome stage presence at such a young age and so early in her career! Anyway, my pick for AI is Danny!

My Chris always gets a little choked up, when Randy sings. I think it is just that Randy speaks his language :0)

Have a wonderful weekend! Praying for your fam.
