I Can Hear The Imperial March From Here

Hey, everyone. I am home from Holland. Thank you for your prayers for my family and me while I was away! I have pictures and stories to share, and I will share them soon.

First, I have to share this story with you. My wife is so funny. Levi brought a picture of a turkey home from school that he was supposed to decorate and take back to school. So Angela helped him decorate the turkey. Nice costume for a turkey, if you ask me.

Angela took this turkey over the edge when she actually read its intergalactic mind:

Angela's funniness was trumped only by Levi (accidentally), who thought it said, "You don't know the power of the Darf meat," which of course is what Levi thinks the character's name is. Darf Vader.

May the force be with you.

Love it!!

Did you see our Star Wars Clone pumpkin? I posted a pic. on Saturday's post.

We are all fans of the Imperial March (Our Tabor has hummed it since he was 2 1/2)...and we love Darf Meat, too--especially when fried.

As a previous student teacher who witnessed tons of these flooding into the classrooms last fall...I have to say this is the most creative!

Way to go, Angela!

We have the same project this weekend and I am so going to steal this idea! But I'm afraid it will be Belle or the Hello Kitty Turkey. We tried the whole homeschooling thing this year, but just recently put our girls back in school..hats off to your lovely wife for making it through a full year!

Ha Ha!! That's hysterical. That sounds like one of my students who drew a picture and then wrote, "Come to the dark side; We have cookies!!!"

Your wife has a great sense of humor, she probably needs it! That was very funny as is the comment from your son. You might also check out beth's blog today, there are several "Travis" stories on them!

You know, I can always count on you (or your family) for a good belly laugh!! Kuddos to Angela for the creative approach to turkey decorating. I'm sure Levi's teacher is smiling. Come to think of it, she probably expects some unusual things from the Cottrell house, considering her card with $$$$$ in it!! Oh my! There's never a dull moment at your house is there, Travis?

Much love and laughter,

Travis, I received the new Easter musical and all I can say is WOW! I can't wait to order it and start working on it with my choir after Christmas!
