2 Much 2 Say

I have so much to blog about. But I only have a second, and wanted to let you know that I am leading worship at Long Hollow Baptist Church in Hendersonville, TN (just north of Nashville) this Wednesday night. The service is at 6:15.

While I am at it, I will let you know that I have a concert this Sunday night, September 16, at First Baptist Church, Marietta, SC (just outside of Greenville, SC). The concert is at 6pm.

Hope to see you there!

I will post tonight about the amazing weekend.

I keep reading these places that you will be leading worship at with a heart of anticipation. And then I get really sad b/c I realize that I am not even remotely close to ANY of them; back in the good ole' days of GA, I was :(

So...I'll suffice with my iPod. But I'm not going to lie, my new Greek flashcards are resonating a passion for my large nerd side. woop! lol

Man!! I'm in Greenville, SC on Saturday.... Oh well.

I have to say that my Mother-In-Law as at Deeper Still last weekend. She commented to me several times that she really enjoyed you and the team leading worship. God used that weekend to ignite a fresh love for Him. Your obedience was part of that so THANK YOU!

Anticipating HIM,
stephanie

Gosh Travis, I sure wish you were closer than that or I would LOVE to come!!!!!!!!!!! Being from the Pacific NW (Redmond, WA), I don't think I'd get there in time!! Let me know if you are ever up in our area again, cuz I'll certainly be there. There is NO-one that can take me into the throne-room of God through his worship faster than you all can!! You are a blessing!!!

In Christ Alone,

Angela

(P.S. I have a 15yr old son named Travis, so you've always had a special place in this mama's heart!!)

It was 2 Much 2 Say! I had a moment today while driving down a very lonely interstate to think about this past weekend. I was so overwhelmed I just started crying. I can't put into words how this event affected me and those who were attending with me. Thank you, Travis, for sharing in our world with your precious ministry. All of us are "nuts" in this calling to go deeper still. It is my passion. Can't wait to read your post on this past weekend.

On a lighter note...did you see anyone famous while you were there in Nashville? We stopped at a Walmart in Murfreesboro and I could have sworn Sara Evans was in the checkout :)!

I love Nashville and will always remember sitting in my chair at the Curb with my hand over my eyes listening to the songs of worship ushering me into God's Word with Prissy, Missy and Sissy. I couldn't stand while singing...my sister was with me and she has arthritis in her knees that hurts so bad. So I sat with her while everyone else was standing and hands held high. I focused on God and worshipped Him. The songs were amazing. Amazing Grace accapella! Beautiful.

Ah Man Travis! So close again, but no cigar.

Right now I'm only about 3 hours from Henderon, I think. I'm in Marion, IL (outside of Carbodale). Unfortunately, I'm here for my uncle's funeral Wednesday. Don't think it would be good form to "cut and run" after the service, especially since I'm speaking at it. But I gotta tell you. . . the thought did cross my mind, briefly!! Guess I'm going to have to settle for listening to you on my Ipod.

May the LORD annoint your leading tomorrow night, Travis. I'll be praying for you. Tear up the place, brother!!

Crazy for Christ,
~Cheryl

Wonderful weekend!
Would you or someone tell me the name of one of the songs you guys did. It really ministered to me and I cant get this phrase out of my head...

"Holy, holy I sing/praise to the King of Kings/ you are my everything/and I will adore you"

Is it your song? Can I download it? Tell me more...

Thanks for doing what you do. I loved seeing Angela there. She is a beautiful woman of God.

I am so bummed that I can't make it to FBC of Marietta on Sunday. It's at least a 2 hours drive and my kids have school early on Monday morning.

Please know that we are there in spirit. I will be praying for you!

Trav, Jim and I have been SO out of touch. I love how this blog gives the opportunity for so many others to be lifting your schedule and events in prayer. I did take the time to go back to read all the blogs I had missed. Jim and I love Pensacola. We went there Thanksgiving 2000 when our son was in A School with the Navy. Our FAVORITE place to eat was Peg Leg Pete's. After Hurrican Ivan, we called there constantly because we were worried about them. Just recently, our son Jeff returned there for some school. He said Peg Leg's is back bigger and better than ever. He ate there several times during his stay. Boy did he make our mouth's water. I couldn't believe that's where you were. The sand in Pens is so white it looked like snow to me at night. We would really like to go back some day. Your pics were wonderful. Angela is a beautiful lady. You are a blessed man. I'll e-mail you later this week. SO MUCH has been going on in our lives. Keep praising. We love you guys. Mary

Alright, this really stinks! I am reading this at 10:40pm on Wednesday night. I don't think there is any chance that the worship is still going on at Long Hollow right now. If I had read this earlier, I SOOO would have been there. I am only a few minutes from that church. Well, I guess I was not supposed to be. SIGH...

Hey! On Sunday, I was bragging on you guys for the awesome worship at Deeper Still, and our worship leader said that he went to college with you. Small world.

Do you need a kitten? :-)

Travis,
What a night of Worship at LHBC!
I'm still processing from Deeper Still and to sing with you tonight
was "the favor of God" upon us as our Dear Beth would say!
We are praying for you and your ministry as God continues to use you in such an incredible way. I hope to see you in November at Lifeway's Women's Forum. Thank you for bringing us before the Throne!

Oh, I think it is what Heaven will sound like!!
Thank you again!!

God bless,

Ok...you are so going to laugh...but I am visiting from BOO MAMA's blog and she mentioned Angela's jeans from the Deeper Still in Nashville and now I am REALLY curious as to what jeans those might be...if you could find out and possibly post on your blog about it, it would be greatly appreciated. This is strange to even write on a blog of a guy about jeans...weird! Can't wait to read more of your blog, I love love love the pictures of the kids! My sister used to live in Pensacola and worked at "FLOUNDERS" for about 3 years.
Ok...longwinded..sorry!
