I'm gonna go make sure their candy bags are kept in a safe place while they are asleep. I plan to carefully go through every piece of candy and make sure that nothing is wrong with it. I might even have to offer myself on the altar of parenthood and taste test much of it to guard their safety and well-being. If you need me, I very well may be hunkered down in the corner of the room in a sugar coma. But please know it's for the sake of the children. FOR THE CHILDREN.
Uh, yeah, whose commenting at almost 2am?! Me?! That's what being hunkered down w/ the candy did for me!!
ReplyDeleteAll very creative costumes!! We had an army man and a vet. But, it poured in Georgia so very few activities for us...still fun!
One of my best (and worst) memories of Halloween was coming back to the house and Daddy saying that he had to "test" our good candy -- not those Mary Janes in the black and orange paper, but the GOOD STUFF -- to see if it was poisoned! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd can I say that Moses' beard looks like it has critters living in it!!!
They are so cute!
Dori
Okay, those expressions are priceless. What personalities!
ReplyDeleteLove it!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhile playing Mexican dominoes this afternoon, it seemed like everybody had gone wild (except me, who has not had sugar for 11 days now). I began to quietly sing, "There's a strange strange spirit in this place and I know that it's the spirit of the sugar...."
ReplyDeletehahha.. luckily madi has a allergy to pnuts. so good ole dad can go eat all of the Peanut Butter Cups.. Oh darn.. such a hard task for me.
ReplyDeleteFabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe testing? For the Good of the Many. That's the party line here, and I'm sticking to it.
Blessings, C~

ReplyDeletefor the children.
YESSSSS!
ReplyDeleteI was going to say something mean, but I'm refraining...holding back...MUST...NOT...TYPE...MUST...hold...back...
so what happens when the kids wake up wonderin where all their candy went to and wonder what is that big chocolate stain around your mouth? lol!
ReplyDeletehahahahahaha
ReplyDeleteWhy do I think Jackson takes after his daddy?
ReplyDeleteWe tried the same thing with our kids. Our middle one is on to us and now sleeps with the bag of candy in the bed with her. There is always one that figures these things out. We bought two bags to give out, gave out one, and the other has mysteriously vanished. (This is NOT a good time to weigh oneself, as I might discover where it went...)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite Halloween memories exist in the proof of a hysterical photo.
ReplyDeleteMy Dad, on the floor of our living room, 3 kids' worth of candy scattered all around him, with his hand in one of the bags, searching :)
It surely is for the children. :)
oh goodness
ReplyDeletethis is magical
hahahaha
Dying laughing over here that you are going to eat that candy FOR THE CHILDREN!! ha!!!
